Sugentech, Entering in Malaysia Clinical Trial for Tuberculosis Diagnostics Kit..Specimen recruitment

Sugentech (CEO Son Mi-jin), a bio-diagnosis company, will begin clinical trials in Malaysia on blood-based tuberculosis diagnosis kits.

To that end, Sujentec announced on the 12th that it has started recruiting samples with its Malaysian partner.

Sujentec plans to secure more than 100 clinical samples and conduct clinical trials there. The goal is to successfully complete the clinical trial within a year and apply for permission from Malaysia's health authorities

The company's diagnostic kit is a product that can diagnose tuberculosis with a small amount of blood. In the past, tuberculosis patients had to be diagnosed with tuberculosis by extracting gossip.

The company checked its performance after undergoing clinical tests earlier this year, and has been conducting clinical tests with a Chinese pharmaceutical company since May to get a license to sell it to China.

The local partner of Malaysia began recruiting samples there last month after obtaining approval for clinical trials of blood-based tuberculosis diagnostic kits from the Malaysian clinical trial-approval agency IMR, Sohn Mi-jin said, adding that Thailand is also in talks with health authorities on licensing procedures.
