Status of TB in Korea

In Korea, 95 people are detected daily, and 6 people die everyday from tuberculosis.
Korea is ranked at No.1 in TB incidence, prevalence and mortality among the 34 OECD countries.
Current standard vaccine program in Korea includes BCG injection within 4 weeks to newborn babies. The protective effect lasts until 14 years old.
